Hey Friend,

Here's what I hear from clients more than almost anything else: they get excited - genuinely, finally, this is it excited - about their financial future. They find their True North. And then they go home for the holidays, or they get on a group text, or they have dinner with extended family... and somebody pours cold water all over it.

Here's what I want you to hear today: People who pressure you into choices that aren't good for you are not on your team. They may love you. They may mean well. But in that moment? They are not fighting for you. They are fighting for their own comfort.

Real friends cheer for YOUR win.

A true battle buddy - the kind of friend who has your back in the foxhole - doesn't ask you to blow your budget so they feel less awkward about theirs. They ask, "How's it going? Are you on track? What do you need?" They celebrate when you pay off a card. They high-five you when you say no to the thing that would have set you back.

Those people exist. They might be rare, but they exist, and you need them.

So here's my challenge for you this week:

Take an honest look at your inner circle. Who in your life...

• Cheers you on when you make a hard but right decision?
• Holds you accountable without making you feel ashamed?
• Respects your goals even when they don't fully understand them?
• Points you toward better, not just toward easy?

Those are your people. Lean into them. And if that list feels short right now - that's okay. Building that kind of community is part of the journey.
