She Grew Up Poor and Managed Millions. So Can You. โœจ

Pursuing true North

Hi Friend,

By now you've heard: we lost Dolly Parton this week. And if the internet has taught me anything the last couple of days, it's that it can be a good thing to come together and spread good and share. So many people shared all the great things Dolly did with her life and how she touched them. That right there? That's a legacy.

She grew up in a one-room cabin in the Smoky Mountains with more siblings than square footage, and she ended up a business mogul, a philanthropist, and the reason half of America can read. Her Imagination Library has mailed over 330 million free books to kids from birth to age five. She once quietly loaned Dollywood employees money interest-free when they hit hard times. She helped fund children's hospital research. She showed up for wildfire victims in her own hometown with cash in hand, no press conference required.

She didn't get rich and forget where she came from. She got rich and turned around to help everybody else get there too.

Here's the question I can't stop chewing on: what do you want to be known for?

Not what do you want to own. What do you want to be known for. Because Dolly wasn't just wealthy - she was generous, funny, faithful, and fiercely herself, and none of that required a single dollar to start.

It's not too late to build that. Dolly grew up with holes in her shoes and learned to manage millions. If she can go from a coat of many colors to an empire, you can absolutely learn to manage what's in your own wallet.

That's exactly what my fall class is for - practical money skills wrapped in the same "you can actually do this" energy Dolly gave everybody she met. Spots are open now.

"A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." - Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)

Got questions? Just hit reply - a real human will answer.

Cheering for you,

Jenny

P.S. Somewhere Dolly is telling St. Peter that his robe would look better with rhinestones. Rest well, Dolly. You will be missed. ๐ŸŒŸ

P.P.S. Fall class registration is open - reply "FALL" and I'll send you the details or click here to sign up.

See you next week!
