Hey Friends,
Let’s be honest… meal planning can feel like a whole job on top of the one you already have. You have to think about your budget, who’s eating what, allergies, picky eaters, and then… actually write the grocery list. 😅
Something I hear from so many of my clients is:
“I know meal planning would save me money, but I don’t have the time or brain space to do it every week.”
Friend, this is one place where I say: let’s embrace something good AI can do for us.
If you give AI your budget, family size, allergies, and any other food preferences, it can give you a meal plan and a grocery list—sometimes in less than a minute! No fancy subscription needed, no expensive meal kit service. Just you, a quick prompt, and a free AI tool.
Why is this worth doing?
- Saves money – A plan means fewer impulse buys.
- Saves time – You skip the “what’s for dinner?” panic at 5pm.
- Saves stress – Allergies and dietary needs are built in.
- Saves energy – You can reuse your favorite plans over and over.
Here’s an example of a prompt you could literally copy and paste into an AI chat box:
“Make a 7-day dinner meal plan for a family of 5 with one gluten-free person and one who is allergic to peanuts. Keep the total grocery bill under $150. Include quick recipes and a grocery list.”
Boom. AI does the heavy lifting, you just take the list to the store.
I’m not saying AI should plan your whole life (we still need to use our own brains 😉), but if it frees up an hour of your Sunday so you can rest, play with the kids, or have that cup of coffee in peace… why not use it?
This week’s challenge:
Give AI your dinner details and let it plan next week for you. Then put the time you save toward something that really matters to you.
Cheering for you,
Jenny
See you next week!
